BNET is a very good resource for management related topics. I really like this site. There are a lof of books and references meant to help you on your career development. What I like about this article, was the approach to cut the theory BS and go to the point. If you really want to learn how to move up in the business world, you’ve got relatively few sources of expert information. And when you’re done with all the MBA BS, the business self-help books, and God help us - the life coaches - ask somebody who’s done it, and he’ll tell you. What better advice than this?

Very interesting article from Harvard Business Review related to long term planning in our companies. many people has been talking during this economic crisis, that part of the problem is the pressure coming from investors and work ethics (or lack of them I should say) that pushed corporations to seek fast results.
